having had a good long hard look at the 2000 Guineas, unless Ibn Kaldoun has turned into a monster over the winter, New Approach will win this. He doesnt mind the ground, the step up to a mile from 7f will suit him more than most, his breeding says that he'll be a better 3year old and he doesnt care where he is in a race, he looks bullet proof to be honest..

oh and just to say that ive put the biggest bet of my life on New Approach today... I did the same 6 years ago on Hawk Wing. Hopefully, he isnt as unlucky as him...

BOLLIX... Henrythenavigator takes New Approach by a nose.. Im sick..

EDIT - NA set a strong pace, had everyone stuggling 2f out, Henry came with a well timed run, went i'd saya neck up, NA battled back but was a nose down at the end. Ravens Pass was last most of the way, picked up but never threatened the winner, came 4th. Stubbs Art was 3rd. Ibn Kaldoun was shocking, ran no sort of race.. beaten a long way out.

I was gutted as they flashed past the post in front of me, I was of the same opinion as you...... thougnt he was bullet proof.

Johnny timed the run on Henrythenavigator with perfection. Any sooner and New Approach would have out battled him and any later he wouldn't have got to the lead.

At the two furlong marker I was saying "how far does he win".

New Approach idled in front and as soon as Henry came upsides he battled back. One stride after the line, he was back in front again.

Ibn Khaldun was one of the first beaten......... when are Godolphin going to learn that horses need more time between flying from a hot climate to running in an English Classic..... a complete joke.
