I think the finsh line is about a head to far at Hollywood Park. Had 10bucks on #2 in the 6th at 22/1 and came up short.

HP late pick 4 looks juicy.
R7 Think Johnny Eves has them over a barrel. Ideal distance for him and will be the lone speed with the scratches. Singling here... R8 Unlike the last race there's a ton of speed in here... and think it sets up well for a bombing closer. Using the entry and the likely favorite (5) defensively and swinging for the fences with the 2,6,7,8,11,13. R9 Check who the 8 ran credibly behind in last... think that could be your most likely winner. Very difficult race and also using the 6,7,10,11. R10 Think this one is pretty clearly cut talentwise, tough call on the pace scenario but I'm using the 2,9,10.

Ted West and Jeffrey Sangara the same team that brought you Blues the Standard. I missed that one.

This, however, was not. Johnny Eves has fooled me one too many times.

Wow. Good thing I didn't get through the first leg because I would have blown my top with a 35-1 and a 50-1 selection running 2nd/3rd with trouble behind the very obvious 5/2 choice.

Dr Zaentz is not a bad play at 25-1 - race should set up for a closer

Side note, O'Neill almost had the exacta with two maidens. Bob Black Jack should have gone here and taken the $250k race at 1/5.

Very nice dollar P3 take home Root. Lots of land mines with these races where trainers hold horses for extended lay offs while licking their chops for local stakes prices. It's impossible to know who's live in cases like this card. Very insightful of you for to see through the madness and take a couple grand from these. |
