Given the difference in trip and Eight Belles breaking in the air, she runs second. Tell me any 3YO (colt or filly) that given the circumstances Eight Belles faced, beats any of those four colts with the trip Alina had...

Alina will be no less than 10-1 in the Oaks and probably 3rd choice behind Country Star and Proud Spell (assuming E/B is in the Derby).

I wouldn't take it at face value if she hadn't comeback to validate it in the Fantasy.

I don't think Alina is nominated to the Triple Crown. These males are so bad this year though that anyone with a filly nominated has to give it some serious thought.
