Again...Robinson and LaMotta were crazy enough to fight each other 7 times......can't imagine them ducking anyone.
Yeah, I never heard of him either. Other than Archie Moore, Fritzie Zivic and Bill Soose, I don't know who he knocked out. He got beat by Ezzard Charles.

I wouldn't think they ducked him either, but seems like an interesting story.

Yes it does....but now that I think of it what makes it more out there is Armstrong ducking him. He only accomplished what I think is the greatest feat of all time ...at least in boxing. I think maybe his friends are trying to twist other situations into "ducking".

Harry Wills was ducked as was Sam Langford, but those were in the 20's or so and it is too bad so many fine Black athletes paved the way for others to get there when they could not.

Ever see the old fight films digitally enhanced?

Those are like SSSSO awesome.

Eaux, I have seen some!

I heard there is a video in which Tyson comments on old fights from Sandler, Dempsey, Louis, etc. I have always wanted to see that but haven't found it.

I didn't know that ,but it sounds great. He was a big fan of the old time guys which is why he had his hair cut the way he did and wore no socks.
