I give it to you, in a soundness competition, Bernardini wins....but, uh, is that what everyone is talking about?

Fager, what we have here is a runaway freight train named the Bold Ruler. Actually a nice guy. Problem is that the guy got bitten by the horse racing bug a few months ago when Barbaro came to prominence because he has a friend who knows Barbaro's owners etc. Its great to see enthusiasm, awesome. But this guy has gone completely out of control. He truly believes that after a few months of following the game that he has the necessary and legitimate opinion of people who have been playing the game and in the game for years. His opinions are very black and white and his statemenst hysterical because he actually has no historicfal context on which to base them. Just try and appreciate his humor and enthusiam.

Most of what Oracles says is true, but Ghostzapper won 3 races his entire career over 1 mile. That is it. 3 races. One by a neck.

Great. It is still three wins in an entire career over 1 mile. How is that a great horse?

Let me list some numbers for you since I know you believe in Beyers:

106
116
120
128
114
124
123

128 IIRC....is the highest Beyer ever freaking recorded, dude!

Not for long. Secretariat's track record at 10F at Churchill is in serious jeopardy this fall. Expect a sub 2M and a stakes record in the Travers too.

If you are going to compare GZ and Bern then just look at the three year old seasons. You cant compare GZ 4 year old season to Bern's 3 year old season. I think it is rediculous to even compare these two--but at least try and make it even.

No one is suggesting that Bernardini is not a good horse, but to compare him to GZ already...? I think Bernardini is an excellent colt, and he should do well in the BCC...but let's wait and see how he does for a few more races before we start comparing him to GZ and Secretariat, okay?

Oh no, we're not just comparing him to Ghostzapper and Pleasantly Perfect....he's already better than both!

The neck was against St Liam, you have to be kidding me. YOu are such a half truth telling guy.

Heres a fitting joke for you.
Q- you are trapped in a room with a terrorist, a serial killer, and a lawyer. You have a gun with only two bullets, what do you do?

A- Shoot the lawyer twice!!!!

All I know is that if a 3 yo does not win two of the three TC races (P given, Charismatic), it's virtually impossible for a 3 yo to win HoY. For Bernadini to get HoY, he MUST win the Travers and the BCC. No horse got HoY off a Preakness/Dandy/Travers sweep, notwithstanding 110+ Beyers.

Not easy to do, especially vs a full field of older horses in great form like he'll see in the BCC. And if Lava Man wins the Pacific, it probably won't matter anyway.
