Jerry,

I have made mistakes similar to yours. It is very simple how to fix this problem and prevent it from possibly happening again. Next time you get the urge to do something stupid like betting your whole paycheck on an animal or a game, REMEMBER HOW BAD YOU FEEL RIGHT NOW. Bottle up the way you feel knowing you just blew your check, and when that urge comes again, you will walk away or bet a reasonable amount. A suggestion from someone who has blown MANY paychecks on a Saturday or Sunday at the track. Don't let this affect your performance at the job Jerry, dig in and forget it. But, make sure you remember how crappy it feels right now.
