when does the carnival start? i followed it last year and enjoyed it.

This coming thursday is the first official day, but we won't start seeing the better horses for a few weeks, I doubt.

yeah I remember that aspect, in the beginning the fields were fairly nondescript. it kinda builds slowly week by week.

I often find the first few weeks the most interesting because I see horses from South America that I've never heard of and I like to see them compete against some of the English and Irish horses that will be out there.

I am fascinated with the South American horses that ship there. You can almost follow them blind and make a profit in the first month of the carnival.
