With Frankel entering 3, my guess is that Thousand Words, a new 4yo, will scratch and await the San Fernando (restricted to 4yos only) a couple of weeks later. Got some good works, though, so maybe I'm wrong.

The most glaring this about this race is the lack of pace.
Well Armed should be right up there contesting,
if not setting the pace outright in a lackadaisical fashion.

Well Armed tries to make it two in a row for Eoin Harty as a late-blooming 5 year old gelding.

Should his Cushion Track form of Hollywood Park
does not translate over the Santa Anita's version,
Zappa should be in the thick of things as another up-n-comer to watch this winter.
