With Schiano turning down Michigan have they become the biggest coach hiring debacle?

Possibly, but it did take a whole lot of attention off of Arkansas...

they say no news is good news. but in this case, it's just no news.
it's probably good for grobe that he turned them down, for a lot of the yahoos around here, anything north of I-40 is yankees territory. i doubt most 'fans' here ever heard of wake forest. there was a lot of negativity when he looked like he'd be the new coach.

I heard the same when Bowden was "looking" at the job. Very tough spot for ARK and Long right now, but maybe this Wolverine fiasco will take some attention off them...

There are some very good assistants out there, maybe now is the time to higher one of them instead of going for a "big" name.

yeah, i posted that a day or two ago--go after a good OC or DC who's looking to make the leap, and would consider arkansas a step up. or go into the new 1-a (formerly 2-a) division schools.
