he's a longshot (20-1) and is slow on the TG numbers, but I'd take look at Turf War (Grasshopper's full bro). This will be his first time on dirt and his bro liked the dirt much better than poly.

St. Joe is 19-1. Turf war is 60-1! ZHumor isn't taking as much money as you would expect at third choice 4-1 but Betatron is taking more money than I expected. |

I would have taken them both down.

I like Gomez, but that was an uncharacteristically bad ride. What the hell was his big hurry on the backstretch? On the fouls.....Gomez drifted for sure but the 9 came in dramatically as well. Of course, it would help if their head on wasn't at an angle but it's more important to give $1 million away on a fake race than spend $5K to get an actual head on. That is assuming they even understand the principle of a head on shot. |

The horse Z Humor ran pretty well though. That was a tough pace and he was right with the pace the whole time. Turf War and Borel looked great and the local horse made a big run. A little hard to see and predict off of this race. I think it was good for the 2yo/3yo crop to see 2 of the better pedigrees do well here. How does the purse distribution work here? (each split win and place?) Graded earning$ |

The first two finishers split the win and place monies ( probably 80% of the purse ).

Cajun state not big on taking horses down.I remember at Canterbury, that Martin guy(maybe was on Intelligent Male) fouled a Sadler horse with T Baze up(in the claiming crown big race.) For some reason,Canterbury stewards let it go,and Martin said Tyler needs to come down to Louisiana for some schooling.
