Oh, horrible breakdown in the third, Bay Story went down, Bling Bling over the top of him.

Surely not another horrible incident for a Brian Ellison horse. After all he has gone through with Catre Diamond, and now this.

How bad can your luck be

That was a horrible spill.

Glad to report that Bling Bling escaped injury and both riders are alright (but were taken to hospital for precautionary x-rays).

But tragically I can't say the same thing for Bay Story.

My buddies were the grooms and exercise rider of Bay Story...

Terrible.

Tacit Agreement is in the Melbourne Cup.

Shipping from Calder

EDIT..

He's not. I got him confused with Tungsten Strike

He went down there and got beaten badly in a couple of races.

So sorry for your friends, they must be devastated. Please extend condolences.

Bling Bling apparently okay, just cuts. Jocks okay, but Mark Zahra may be off the Cup, Peter Mertens on Zahra's ride in 4th.

I'm going to try and stay up to watch the race on TVG. My trifecta is Master O'Reilly, Purple Moon and Mahler though not necessarily in that order.

wasn't Tacit Agreement the horse from CRC that was sold and was involved in a riding inquiry. He is a need the lead type horse and I guess that is not how horses are ridden in Australia. He had some serious health issues and I believe is now retired after getting drummed down under a few weeks ago.

Congrats! Well done!

I haven't gotten bets down the last 2 races, I've tried to place just before post and Xpressbet is apparently too busy.

Think I'll get my Cup bets down now!

I've really got to make more of an effort to get more involved with the Australian racing. It's something i know very little about. Seems like a fantastic racing nation, though.

The time difference makes things almost impossible to keep up to date with what's going on. I greatly enjoy reading all the posts from everyone who is knowledgable on the sport 'down under'. I don't post much because i will just looks stupid and ask far too many questions

Thanks to Moodwalker, Ed, Cardus and MMSC, also ArlJim who seems like a betting expert down under!
