Ah...well, as for the riders...
I think that rather than comparing jocks to commuters to Manhattan why not look at what is typical and customary in their industry. Most tracks have rider lots and horsemens lots that are free. Most tracks and prior BC's have offered such ammenities AND granted riders a pair of guest seats. I don't think that it's really the money but is is a matter of principle. I'm sure the half C-Note won't kill any jock riding in the Cup but the BC's attitude and changing of rules goes against what is industry standard and what they have provided for 23 years.
