With that said, if USF isn't that great, how did Auburn get beat by 'not taking a good team seriously?' The thing I actually like is the parity in college football...any good team can beat another on any weekend. It makes it more interesting, and discussions like this go on forever...

Morton is probably too young to remember this, but Clemson has a big reason to despise Ohio ST... One of the classic moments in Ohio State football:

Woodrow Hayes comes on the field and hits a Clemson linebacker that has just intercepted a pass and beat the Buckwheats. I will never forget coke-bottle glasses Hayes wandering around looking for someone to hit. Big ole grumpy fatman run amok.

And then the announcers just dismissing it. Until the replays were shown over and over the next day. Great comedy. Down goes Woodrow, down goes Woodrow.

HE was pissed all that year...it was his last and they made him give up the triple option offense and play freshman future convict and multiple felon Art Schlichter that year and start throwing the ball. Earle Bruce got hired immediately after that game and he and Art spent the next 3 years betting the ponies extensively!!
