Even the mighty Aidan O'Brien seems lost as to what to do with GW. The horse has looked most unwilling this year. I can't say for sure, but i think the horse may have had a few problems over the last few weeks. He was pulled out of the QEII only days before the race, then they it looked almost certain to go to Monmouth, then he wasn't. The Champion Stakes was then the target, and now it isn't.
He is either proving very difficult, or they just don't know what to do with him. Take a look at the thread in International, that will give you all the updates of the Euro horses coming to the BC (or likely to come)

Generally, smaller, more athletic horses like the tighter turns. I'm not completely sure about this, but I believe the stretch is also shorter at Monmouth than what the Euros would prefer.
