Right now? I think that Bonds is probably as good as Manny because Manny has been subpar for Manny the last 2 seasons. The 2 recent HR's not withstanding, Manny has been below average according to his standards.

Manny has been hurt all year Chuck and has actually improved his fielding in Boston playing a quirky left field at home that is harder than it looks at first blush. I'll give you his production way down this year but he has produced for much longer than many on your list. Manny has protected Ortiz in that line up since he got to Boston and has pretty much done what was asked of him sometimes sacrificing numbers for the team that Boston has become.

Very Very Streaky hitter who may yet have another World Series MVP to go with his 2004 one. Believe me the worst thing Cleveland saw in the division playoffs was that Manny seemed to be swinging pain free...

And how can you not like a guy who hates to speak in public but still gives the hilarious honest interview he gave Friday night which pretty much solidified his place in the all sound bite hall of fame.

So leave my Manny alone or we'll have to take your prize money for Mixteca at Keeneland.
