Most defenses are predicated on speed and blitzes. Ohio state is not going to sit back in a zone and wait for painter to make his mistake. They are going to blitz and blitz often. Blitzing against a QB and Wr's who are quite familiar with each other is setting yourself up to beat deep. Giving up 7 at home to a team that can score is always a dangerous idea. I think a bettor can find better value for their money this game.

Morty, the diffrence is Washington had a frosh at qb. Granted, he has some physical talents but still young none the less. Very difficult going from high school football to playing a top big ten team(that does not mean much this year) I already stated that ohio state is a better team. But purdues offense can score in bunches. If ohio state plays man to man for more then 50% of the game purdue, will win. For OSU to win they need to be able to help deep with their safeties and allow their line and backers to control the run and get pressure on painter. If that happens, Painter will force throws and OSU will be fine.

Thank you for the accolades on the baseball pick. That conclusion of course was the result of many man hours of work.

Gee..I didn't know you had developed the def. game plan for Ohio State.

They will see plenty of mixed zone and man to man....there is a lot of speed on this defense...they will most likely force Purdue to play their puny little nickle dime pass game....and then when they least expect it....

Oh yes.....just like the Washington game....we were giving 4 I think to a team that could score at home.....and won by 19.


Purdue could only beat the Noddles 33-19....abyssmal.
