For what it's worth, I disagree with Senator Jon Kyl on most everything, but this bill was passed in the state legislature, so Kyl can't be blamed for this one. I am sure he is happy, but not to blame on this one...

One thing: I'm not sure how much it would help, but you might have the whole University of Arizona at Tucson on your side if you need support in some way:

That is just sick. Makes it sound like betting some horse races is suddenly akin to holding up someone at gunpoint.

Turf Paradise in in fact in support of this law. I spoke with an official from the track, and he is also willing to meet with me to discuss the bill.

They will in fact lose in the end with this law. Bottom line. There has been a great deal of negative publicity created from law. We must overturn it now, or risk the following of many more states into the future...

I think you may see more of this from states similar to arizona and a big problem is the there is no collective power from the horse racing industry. In Tuscon is the countrys biggest horse racing collegiate program and yet its illegal in this state to bet on racing, crazy.

I could see this happening in states like Georgia, Texas, Colorodo....states were the industry is not nearly as important as places like Ny and Ky. They have Arizona to point the way to go.
