MMSC, what was Helene Brilliant's name before Hong Kong? was it Doctor Brown?
Yeah, that's him!!!

Do you really wanna get into the corruption question cause if you do this thread will be as long as the official Godolphin-fight thread.

My short version is this and i'll leave it alone from here on out..... the corruption days came to an end with Silent Witness. That's my take.

You know how much i love HK racing so any negatives (like the new disaster with Nikolic)? Well, nothing is perfect.

Well, corruption is evident wherever there is betting and money to be one. It just so happens that to corrupt this sport seems much easier for these criminals.

Hong Kong has the biggest horse racing betting turnover in the world (by some distance, too), because there is so much to be won there is a huge amount of corruption. I'm not saying it goes on in the highest level of races, but it does go on.

One horse cannot stop corruption, neither can a governing body. It takes the sport as a whole to come together and stop it. We see some sort of corruption fairly often over here, and in America it is the same.

The more betting turnover/money to be won the more corruption there will be.

Now, i'm not dumbing down the racing at all. I watch as much as i can, but the time difference often stops me from doing so. I love watching the big racing and seeing how popular it is over there.
