The Irish aren't as bad as some of you guys are making them out to be.

I thought they looked halfway decent, on the road, against the team I picked to take the Big 10 this year.

Good point DRUGS. I'm a ND fan, but a realistic fan at that. They did not look bad in the first half against PSU. Their defense is much better this year, however the offense as we can all see is very suspect. There is no comparing Clausen with Quinn. Right now, it's apples and oranges. Quinn could trust a running game and had good receivers to throw to. Clausen has neither. They will not beat Michigan, but they will get better as the season as the season progresses. It could be worse, look at Syracuse. There used to be a lot of Syracuse fans in Upstate, NY, but not any more. I still cheer them on, but man are they bad. Anyway, the rest of the college season should be quite interesting. LSU looks scary good. USC will get beat at some point even though their schedule is a joke.

Since we're guessing, I say their first game won will be Boston College.

we were having this the discussion at work today. What IF nd beats michigan?? they'll have to call out the national guard to protect coach carr from the lynch mob!
michigan would be done for the rest of the year, they'd never recover.

I am starting to think the question should be "When will Notre Dame's offense will score a touchdown?"

By the way, what is their schedule for next year? Not sure they will win this year.

I don't hear the same outcry for Weis to be fired that there was for Willingham, and Ty's teams never looked this horrendous.

They are now ranked ahead of only three teams in all of Division 1A in the Massey Ratings. Too bad they don't have Rice, North Texas, or Temple on their schedule.

And supposedly the next two recruiting classes are nothing to look forward to. If this continues for another few years, what joy it will be bring so many
