Im pretty sure IrishofNDman had a rough weekend, first his beloved ND got an @ss whipping by my Penn State team. Its a good thing he wasn't sighted in Happy Valley. Second his Brownie Troopers got thier @sses whipped by another one of teams from Pennsylvania: the Steelers. I think they wished they were selling Girl Scout cookies instead of making a an attempt of trying to impersonate someone that knew how to play football. A great weekend for two of my teams fromthe Keystone State.

Penn St. might be able to take the Browns this year .... Browns were outright horrid the other day. Traded Charlie Frye already. Brady Quinn will be in sooner than later.

Wow...How in the hell do these 2 coaches(N.D.-MICHIGAN) get to keep their jobs? Reminds me of the pathetic days of Ted Tollner at U.S.C.

I'd say it's a bit premature to fire a coach coming off a BCS berth after two games, don't you think? Michigan fans can say whatever they want to right now about Lloyd Carr, but they loved him heading into the OSU-Michigan game last year and applauded him afterwards.

Charlie Weis has done a pretty good job at ND also, especially with two consecutive huge bowl appearances. You can't make coaching changes after two games in my opinion.

All Notre Dame needs is six wins and they are guaranteed a bowl appearance. A blind gorrila could get six wins with Navy, Air Force, Duke, and Stanford on the schedule. Yet they might not even get to 6 wins this year. That is a pretty good job?

No,I don't think it's premature. They aren't the team that almost beat S.C. 2 years ago.No amount of Priest's wafer is gunna change that.

2 bowl BSC bowl apperences that they didn't deserve and got crushed in both games.
i agree weis should not be fired and given a chance to turn around the program. they won 10 games his first season but did NOT beat a quality team and he had some talent. they won games on weis' schemes because DC's couldn't prepare for his offense. last year they scored few points because DC's had 1 years worth of films to study and he had less talent especially on defense. this year he has a decent defense and NO offensive line and no experience at qb. nd line troubles won't get fixed this year or next because weis didn't recriut and sign lineman.
Saban and Alabama are in the same boat. shula signed skill people and NO lineman.

i'd think carr ought to be given more credit for over a dozen years coaching success--certainly deserves more time to turn things around then weis, who has no track record with that school--as for the two bowl appearances, you'd have to be a real screw up to not make a bowl with notre dame. 6-5 and they get a game, it's ridiculous.
