Sooooo was I supposed to stop rooting for them? A lot of people should just spend more time and energy supporting their own team rather than knocking people for the teams they like. It's actually kind of hilarious to see people get nuts going off on it.

Going nuts? Hmm isn't this a free forum or not? I do support my teams: Pitt, Penn State, Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. And the Naval Acadamy in football, im partial to them since I retired after being in the Navy for 20 years.

Super. Good luck to all of your teams.

i think other teams and fans resent notre dame because they get a lot of air time--but that's because they produce the ratings...right or wrong, it's all about money in the end. also why notre dame gets a bowl game every year, deserved or not.

oh, and GO PENN STATE!!

Well it helps when your local NBC affiliate is owned by the University.

Excellent....How Refreshing. Actually I root for Penn State too. I rally around a guy like Joe Paterno, who by the way many people were ready to hang a few years ago. They went through some tough seasons as well.

all the respect in the world for joe paterno. in an age of what have you done for me lately, and chasing the almighty dollar, he showed that he admired that program as much as they did him--and showed a loyalty not seen much these days. he was chased after by many college and pro teams over the years, but stuck with the college--so often people say they want a 'new challenge', but what about the challenge of making a top program, and then keeping it at the top thru thick and thin, and staying the course in the lean years? i hope he has great success this year, i know that there aren't many paterno years left, so i hope he has a great time.
