It is just hilarious because you just have to know that they are people out there that are following their tickets and playing them. I honestly have never seen Schrup hit a ticket, never....I am guessing he has when I wasn't watching but seriously, the guy is just not a good handicapper

Were you watching on that Friday Night at Hollywood last year when Schrup was alive in the pik-4 to something like 8 of 10 runners in the last? They were making a big deal out of it on-air. Then they put his selections up on the screen. In less than a second, Frank Lyons says somthing like "You didn't put the 6 in there? You took 8 horses and left the 6 out?" Schrup came up with some goofy answer. Guess who wins the race? It was great television. Emmy worthy actually.

I think I've brought this up before, but what people forget about was Ken rudoplh's former job on the Best Damn Sports Show Period! on FSN. It was the very first year or so that the show aired, he did the "Daily-Nightly sports report". It was kinda a SNL Weekend Update rip-off, where he'd do some stupid jokes about athletes in the news. But there were some hilarious ones in there too. But when he did that, I just assumed he was just some comedian with a steady gig, not ant actual "journalist". Interesting.

Yes I was and it was great TV. While I never cheer someone to lose, it was just priceless. My guess is that he didn't even play the ticket

I like what you say about not cheering someone to lose. I don't either in that context. In fact, I recall thinking he was a winner until the eighth pole and just laughing that it was Lyons' horse going past for the win.

As of 10:40 central this morning, TVG is showing post time for the 1st at the SPA in 80 minutes. Guess they forgot its a late Friday post today. Embarrassing especially since Saratoga is one of the few top caliber tracks they have left with all the Churchill properties leaving.

I saw Schrupp this week talking to a fat guy and a mechanical horse. I thought i was watching bad Public broadcasting from the 70's.

You can't throw Lyons & Stevens under the bus with all the talking heads that fill up air time. They should find more work for Vic S.
