I really did not think his handlers would take this approach.
Maybe he is sincere...

I don't think so, Pat. If he hadn't been caught, would he have still found Jesus? I doubt it...

Thank you Dannie.

I will keep my promise and not display them nor comment on any of them.

But I really can't thank you enough.

lol

i doubt it. only after all the denials, the blame game, the pointing of fingers, the who me defense...only when he knew it was all over did he finally come out and speak.

boy, what a quick turnaround--oh, poor me. i'm immature. my son is immature, i haven't seen a pit bull in the back yard yet. didn't realize committing felonies was part of the maturation process. silly me.

he wouldn't be maturing, pleading guilty, and finding jesus had he not got caught. Loser.

I think he got out of the paddock and was running on his own. I dont think his trainers would have used this easy, obvious, routine. But maybe they know the public better than I do. Because the public is about all Vick has left.

The only thing positive about Vick's performance yesterday was that it laid to rest the possibility of another afront on the justice system like OJ.

If Vick had listened to a couple of the militant lawyers on his team who wanted him to push the ante toward a jury trial where it was all about race and not about the animals he tortured we all could have watched the country explode in a real trial of the century if jury selection went his way for 1-3 out of 12.

The potential effect on the country would have been devastating and potentialy civil war causing. Thank God he didn't take things there.
He may not have said the right things yesterday but it could have been far worse for us all.

Overstated I think but a good point. The black community distrusts the criminal justice system and for valid reasons, but there are plenty of black leaders who saw this for what it is from the beginning, a bad guy who did disgusting things to dogs. Don't lump an entire race together, black folks think for themselves every bit as much as white folks do. Sure, Vick has support in the black community, he was an example and a hero...the initial reaction had to be one of deep disappointment coupled with distrust...was he being treated differently cause he's black? The answer is a resounding "no" and plenty of influential black leaders see this...sure, the media is unfair...they always are! Every high profile public figure is always raped by the media BEFORE their day in court, Vick has been treated harshly by the media but not differently than a Pete Rose, Shoeless Joe or Paris Hilton. I heard Tiger Woods' comments last night and he was dead on...responsibility for one's actions and telling the truth BEFORE you have no other choice. OJ trial had problems...I would have voted not guilty I suspect due to time line issues and Mark Furman...it's not simply a matter of black and white.
