Wow, i didn't realise Kingsgaite Native (a 2yo) was going to run in the Nunthorpe, a very strange decision.

I have a funny feeling that Hoh Mike is back to his best now, and i think he will be very difficult to beat actually. Sorry to Red Clubs (who will almost certainly run a good race again), but Hoh Mike looks to have his ideal conditions and this sort of race will suit him.

Oh yeah... forgot to say come home safe, The Tatling. I always worry about that one.....

Those two words are a BIG issue, but to be fair to him, he rode to brilliant races today (well, it's yesterday for me now) at York on Sir Gerry and Purple Moon.

I love The Tatling, too. My father looked after his half sister a few years ago. Daintree her name was.

He has his good days and I give him credit when it's due BUT I'm not seeing Hoh win here and especially with Jamie up.

Reverence, Magnus, Desert lord, Dandy Man, Amadeus Wolf.... those are the boys who will follow Red Clubs home.

I think Beauty is Truth will run a nice race.

Thanks for The Tatling story. Very nice. IF he wins I'll be thrilled but i really believe the day will belong to Mr. Clubs.

Couldn't believe it....... fair play to his owners and trainer for running him though. The first 2yo to win the Nunthorpe since the brilliant Lyric Fantasy about 17 years ago!

I know he got a huge amount a weight because of his age, but that is some performance against the older horses.

Apparently Godolphin have made a £75 million bid for him (actually, i'm pretty sure he will be at Godolphin before long )

Dandy Man is looking rather overrated now, i'm afraid to say. He had every chance today, and the ground looked quick enough for him.

Ground was against him today (he loves it really soft). If the Nunthorpe was run on the Tuesday he may have done better.

It was found after the race that Reverence had burst a bllod vessel. I hope this doesn't become regular for him, once they start to bleed in races, some of them never stop. His love for soft turf would rule out a move to America, too
