I know he was up against 3rd and 4th stringers, but he didn't have the best players on the team around him, and he made the best of his opportunity. Hopefully he can prove all the Quinn haters wrong, and get the last laugh at the people who let him slip to 22.
Hi....I am The Care-La...you are The Stupid.

Why don't you consider that 7 completions were to the running back going down 5 yards and stopping.Boy ...Quinn sure went through his checkdowns VERY fast!

That was a prevent defense for all time.

Quinn was antsy to show what he could do.

"I'd been holding a clipboard for one game and three quarters," he said. "It's been tough to wait it out."

As for entering the quarterback race, Quinn knows that's not his call.

"That's not my decision," he said. "I think anyone of those guys could have done that facing that situation in the two-minute drill. The defense was in soft coverage."

Maybe so, but Quinn didn't make any mistakes either.

Quinn knows that it was against 4th stringers, and a good passing situation. All I am saying is that he played good and made the best of the situation he was given.

Irish: promising start for Quinn! Hate to rain on your parade.....Jimmy Clausen picked up for transporting alcohol...a freshman, and already the rules don't mean anything to him! Wonder if Weis will bench him for a game?

The Herd is calling for a Purdue victory over ND this year. I think I'll back him.

Default 2 things yu can count on every year!

Every year in football 2 things can be counted on. 1. Notre Dame will be overrated- happens every year! 2. A notre dame qb coming into the nfl whos suppose to become a star who doesn't pan out. Sorry to burst your bubble, but there is a reason quinn didn't go high, hes not that good. Hes the next rick mirer. The nfl defenses are gonna have a hey day playing against him. As for notre dame the one thing they have going for them is their coach. Oh yeah their schedule too. Join a real conference and play somebody and get off your high horse. I seem to remember a bowl game against LSU where notre dame and quinnn got their asses kicked back to south bend.

Being a Browns fan, the one thing I don't want is for Quinn to start the year as the starter. I'd more prefer a Carson Palmer approach to him where he sat behind Kitna the whole year before taking over. Not that the Browns have anyone as good as Kitna, but I saw what happened to Tim Couch when they rushed him his first year...not pretty. If Quinn starts before week 10 I'll be very unhappy. They are a bad football team. No need to rush throwing him to the wolves.

Look at Notre Dames schedule JACKASS!!!! It's just as hard as any team in a conference, and they open up their season against real teams, not these cupcakes such as temple, eastern michigan, and troy. Say what you want about Notre Dame, but everyone knows they don't play an easy schedule.
