yeah, it was. always is when one comes jumping out, and i've been more nervous about it since we hit one with my mustang a couple years ago--5K in damage! from one lousy deer. it's crazy.

but living here, tons of wildlife...and the amount of miles i cover, and early in the day til late in the evening--all adds up to high risk of wild animal encounters.
now, the turkey last year was interesting. shattered the windshield (she hit dead center, even knocked the rear view mirror off kilter)....luckily i could still see to drive, as i was over an hour from home.
then, i go thru a security gate to get into a facility, guard asked my gosh, what happened? i said i hit a turkey.

she said 'frozen??' i will NEVER forget that one!! where in the hell are you going to hit a frozen turkey??!

How far do you commute?

I remember in highschool friends of mine got charged by a moose because it was mating season and he thought they were a threat to his lady.

i don't commute. i'm operations manager for a vending company, and my area covers about a 200 mile square (or so) area...most of south east arkansas. so, lots of miles to cover.
