I've commented very little on the Morty Phenomenon. I'll simply say that I believe having him here, while not 100% pleasureable, is more a positive than a negative. I understand why people can find his 'performance art' annoying and a distraction, and I was in that camp initially myself.

However, his musings, if you take the time to read them and follow them, are genuinely smart and funny and frequently hysterical. I'm not trying to insult those that don't "get it" saying this. There isn't anything 'to get'... He is an agent provocateur here and most often defuses more than incites. But as an agitator, I understand that some are turned off. But most miss him when he goes on his frequent 'walkabouts' or would really miss him if he left.

There's room for nearly any type of Internet denizen here, and though he does go over the top, generally he is 100% harmless and contributes to the atmosphere of manic frivolity that pervades the Forum.

Can we get all that re-typed, in layman's terms?

But usually at the expense of someone else....

Personally I've laughed at many things he has said, but I just don't think anyone should be so mean whether it's a joke to him or not and honestly it seems like you support him being mean to people. Like that whole Champagne Room thing? Sorry, Steve, but that was rude to me and granted I'm your guest here but I thought you were a kinder person than that.

Nic,

I apologize.. This takes me by surprise. It seemed at the time in that series of exchanges you were having fun with what was going on. If I was mistaken, I'm sorry that I contributed to any discomfort.. Bethani and I do our best to edit/delete things that we perceive are upsetting people and appear inappropriate. I clearly misinterpreted the situation.

I don't think anyone goes out of their way to be mean in threads, including Morty. We try to be judicious in interpreting intent in monitoring the Forum, and have been accused over being overzealous a number times.. oblivious others.. with regards to people's sensitivities. I appreciate the frank assessment above and will take it to heart in regards to future scenarios.

I really appreciate the apology and at that point I was just trying to ignore him and then I figured I would try to make amends and joke back with him after your comment...as we both know it didn't work much when he and Payson Dave made fun of my appearance.

Honestly, I didn't bring this up because I would like to see him go because I don't. We all know I was no saint when Grits pissed me off This forum should and is fun, but there is also a great wealth of information to read with people like yourself, Cannon, BTW, Drugs etc and I'm sure there are lots of people out there looking to improve their game that join up. But, at the same time, if a new poster doesn't understand the jokes around here they are not going to want to stay and I'm sure you don't want that.

Again, thank you very much for the apology.

Thankfully, I am relieved I wasn't missing something.

Like anything else you take enjoyment or gain from, there are usually inconveniences or a modest price to pay. For me he fits in there though I can see how others would feel less or more generous in their sentiments. I'll trade the inconvenience for the many genuinely nice people I've met through DT who share an important interest of mine.

In a lot of neighborhoods there's one dog who is allowed to chase cars. Some of the neighbors dislike it. Some do look on, if only to be witness to the day the dog succeeds.

You mistake the doggie for The Tiger.

A potentially fatal boo-boo.

But you will never realize this because The Tiger strikes as the viper.....SPISSSSSSSSSSSS!!

So fast you don't even know you have been the prey.

And....as with all my prey.....

....I don't not chew.

I merely kill it and move on.

A word of further warning..BentMyPud.

You have been judged weak...senile.....wobbley.

The Predator knows these signs.

The eyes open wide...the ears pick up.

The unmistaken smell of fear permeates the wilderness.

Cha-Ching! signs appear in the eyes of The Predator.

And then the strike to the throat you will never feel.

You grace the table of the vulture.

For I do not chew my prey...( ahm dyin' ovah heah!!)...

...I merely kill it and move on.

I cannot stress this enough.

Then it was you who bent his pud.

This thread will always go because there are those who hate me and they must let the world know of this demon eating within them.

But I do promise my apparent existence here is numbered in short hours.

I will be at the service of those who do need me...in a secretive way....and Your Nosiness will never know it.
