I don't have a problem with Willy's ride and I am impressed that she was able to take off the lead and still make another run in the stretch. It's too bad that the Pletcher horse went as early as she did, to me that clearly forced Willy to go early, if the 8 doesn't move to the end of the turn she wins, she may even have held on if she changed her leads on time. Hopefully that will be corrected. Plus, she probably needed a race in her. Congrats fellow DTers, we have a very nice filly that will probably run even better next time out with this race in her. Plus, she is clearly capable of running on two surfaces. I, for one, think she ran a hell of race again today and proved one more time that she is a game filly. The wins will come. ![]() |

Of course not, because it's pretty clear that you have some weird vendetta against the stable. My hunch is that had she won you would've been railing about how she got a clear lead or how she was "supposed to win" or some bullshit like that. |

it's funny tho really. we went into this deal with eyes wide open, with a small bankroll and really just some hope to have a bit of fun. certainly no one expected to have a horse of this calibre. those who knock her can say hey, she keeps coming in second. but she's doing something that only a small percentage of racehorses manage--running and winning money in a race that isn't a claiming race. i mean, did anyone who bought into this expect to have her show up at churchill, arlington, and probably ship into the spa? my guess would be NO. but some enjoy pointing out the bad, rather than look for the good. that's their loss. by no means am i singling out anyone in this thread or elsewhere today. past experience after sumwons races has been far worse, and temperature raising, than anything i've seen lately. of course, the day isn't over yet.

I doubt anyone wishes sumone or anyone in the partnership ill will. We would all love to see her run and win. Its very exciting seeing people enjoy their ownership experience. Its a very rare occasion you get a filly like her for the amount of money they paid

just got back home from spending the afternoon out at AP, meeting lots of new people, watching Sumwons race, so close again.
I just have to say that you guys have latched on to such a nice one here, you all should be real proud even though she has so far only placed for you. She is real game and as you all know ran again today what could have easily been a winning race. I have to mention something Wille said after the race that made my day. He said in the jocks room before the race that Douglas told him "you don't have to worry about my horse". So Willie shoots back "I wasn't worried about your horse". That was the Pletcher horse, the 8, which Sumwon left in the dust. Willie seems like a great guy who really wanted to win for the partners today and seems to be having a blast with it. |

As far as the sarcasm of outrunning her odds, she had no business opening up at 2-5. Regardless, I believe that there is better ahead for her and if she can learn to relax more and change her leads correctly, there is certainly much better in her future. |

While it's no guarentee she enters the gate at the spa, I do think it's a guarantee she'll have a bigger entourage than Sheik Rashid did at last year's Travers Stakes.
I hope the other partners loved on her lots for all of us who couldn't be there today. As always Chuck, we appreciate all you do in the continued success of Dee-Tee Stables. Now if you excuse me, I have a nasty letter to write to United Airlines. |

Congrats everyone .... spoke to Byk briefly after the race and it sounds as though she came out of the race fine.

I loved how happy Sumwon looked when running on the lead before those two longshots ran up to each side of her. She had her ears up and was just rolling along...you can tell she really loves it out there. |
