Default I think

Willie felt compelled to make the move with her to take the lead because the 8 horse looked like she was making a move also. 7F is a tough distance to rate --- much easier at two turns.

looked like he tried to back down the 2nd qtr...maybe waiting a bit longer to retake the lead might have been better

Pretty tough loss, I can't even imagine how heartbreaking that must have been for the crew in Chicago (unfortunately my flight got delayed four hours so I wasn't there with them). She ran great again though and keeps bringing home checks. Hopefully she can bounce back quick and we can get her in one of those interesting spots early in the Saratoga meet.

Doesn't have to be an allowance. Steve and Chuck haven't said anything about an open allowance at SAR.

They go up to 100k claimers for straight 3 yr old fillies.

*edit, you are correct. The higher end claimers in the condition book are mostly AOC's. To answer your question no, not for 35k*

They don't go any LOWER than 30K claiming at the Spa.

She'll have some nice allowance spots as well as (likely easier) 50K spots...

No way, I don't think even $50K would be an option at this point. You have to realize that this isn't like normal partnerships. The goal isn't to make as much money as possible, it is to have some fun with horse ownership. So even running her in a stakes race at Saratoga would be an option if Chuck thought we could do so without her coming out any worse for the wear. For a lot of us just having a horse run at Saratoga would be incredible.
