My memory is horrible, but didn't JGD call the races in Ohio (Thistledown) years ago? I seem to recall watching the NYRA replay show and he (or the guy who was calling races in Ohio if it wasn't him) was filling in for Durkin was on vacation back then.
He called in NY for like three days when Durkin had a death in the family.
