I am far from knowledgable about this but I will say this. You don't pick a race to single in, you pick the horse. Me personally, I look for these things when I am trying to find a single

1) Forward moving, improving
2) Looks like he will get the trip that he will relish (easy lead, pocket, lots of speed)

Odds mean nothing in a single, you are just trying to get out of the race going 1 deep. Odds mean something in your 5 legs.

Citronnade is running on Sunday at Hollywood. I know this doesn't relate to the topic....but she's an easy single every time. Loose lead....slow fractions...then zaps them in the stretch.
