A shame...
REBEL BLOW FOR HUFFER By PA Sport Staff Sporting Life Cockney Rebel has met with a major setback after fracturing his off-side pelvis at Royal Ascot on Tuesday. Geoff Huffer's dual Guineas hero suffered the injury when finishing fifth in the St James's Palace Stakes, where he hung badly left in the closing stages. Although the initial prognosis on Tuesday morning was a pulled muscle in Cockney Rebel's hind-quarters, a subsequent scan revealed the injury to be worse than expected. "We got him to the surgery this morning and gave him a scan which showed the fracture," Huffer said on Wednesday. "It's not life-threatening, but that's racing I'm afraid. "It's too early to say, but he could be out for a month or two. "He will have the best treatment any horse can have and will be brought back as good as ever - if not better." |

Sad to hear that, it was clear that something was wrong with him yesterday because that performance was too bad to be true.
Hope he recovers quickly. |

My father rang to tell me yesterday, he said there was a last minute bone scan coming in and when he looked at what it was it was Cockney Rebel.
Still waiting for news on Sound Of Nature, but i'm expecting the worst, i'm afraid.
