The other knock on CQ is a soundness issue. I believe his mother brokedown in the Test at the Spa. Very well bred though.

Sorry to say I didn't get to see his race, but sounds mighty impressive to me.. CQ certainly could be very special especially for a horse supposedly meant to do better going long having so much success early and in shorter races!

You are right that Pletcher has the best 2yr old but his name is Soaring By, not CQ. Soaring By should win the Sanford and take on CQ is the Hopeful.
