He should receive a standing ovation. And I didn't say that you were blaming the judge for Paris' behavior...I said you were putting HIM on trial, which you are.

Damn right I want explanations regarding what appears to be a judge pandering to public bloodlust by treating someone unfairly...I would feel the same if it was Jane Sixpack or Timm's daughter. There is no defense for "making an example" of someone! What I'm pointing out, and you refuse to make this distinction, is that it has nothing to do with Ms Hilton's behavior...she did what she did and she alone is responsible and will deal with the consequences. That doesn't give some judge the right to pander...and the fact that folks in a church view his acts as worthy of praise is rather well...interesting!

Take that judge to ANY public forum with a group of people present, and he'll get the same ovation. That's what your missing. Lemme guess, now your going to blame him for the ovation he received too??? That's awesome! At least you're consistent if nothing else. Oh yeah, then you try to turn it into a church thing...priceless stuff.

So...why do you think he got the ovation? For making an example out of a young woman? Putting a spoiled rich brat in her place? Giving her what she deserved? How very Christian...but then biblical teachings don't apply when we hate someone I guess!

Like I said, change it into a church thing...you are awesome. Again, take the judge to any public forum & he gets the same ovation. Why are you trying to change gears all the sudden? This from the same guy that posted in the Josh Hancock thread...again, priceless.

And again, what did I say in Hancock that's different from what I say here?
I said he (Hancock) was responsible for his actions...here I'm saying Paris is responsible for her actions and THE JUDGE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS! 100% consistant yet in your mind...well, I frankly have no idea. Change what into a church thing? I documented what was reported...it happened in the church...with real-life church people, I'm not making it into anything...it is what it is!

(Sigh) That's suprising. I wish it weren't that way....people are people and everyone makes mistakes...some bigger than others. ...there, but for the Grace of God go I...or my kids.

I love those born-again Christians.

We always can do wrong. Thats why we get born again.

(I know. Has nothing to do with current topic)

DTS presented the right verse for what happened at that church today.

He happenned to be in a church when he got the ovation...who cares. He would have gotten the same applause that Rags got yesterday at Belmont if they had introduced him there. Do you have issues with the church by chance???? No way, that's not at all obvious. Why else would you be trying to go there? Again, there's always one in a million that wants to put the judge on trial...at least the lawyers are getting paid for it! I guess some others just love the underdog so much that they can't see the forest for the trees!

Debating with you has become pointless, I address a point (like Hancock...how many times now?) and you just go back to it. It's not the church that I have a problem with, it's folks who call themselves Christians (or Muslims or Wiccans or Jews etc) who rejoice at the misery of others. You try and make this about me...I was a Christian for 58 years, I have nothing but love for the religion. And again, how many time must I explain that I'm not putting the judge "on trial" to defend Ms Hilton...I'm saying he and he alone is responsible for HIS actions here!

This isn't about Christians or religion...and how do you know that they were "rejoicing at the misery of others"...gimme a break. If I were there (at the church, or at the mall, or wherever) I would have applauded him too, and not because I was "rejoicing at the misery of others", as you so dramatically put it. I think the guy showed some backbone considering the circumstances, and did the right and reasonable thing considering the circumstances. "Rejoicing at the misery of others..." are you serious???

Why in your mind did he "do the right thing"...what does that mean to you?
