Same thing happened to my dad 3 1/2 years ago. He ended up having quadruple bypass surgery. Of course he had smoked 3 packs a day as long as I can remember. Hasn't touched one since.

I didn't note, my dad gave up smoking 2 months ago. He smoked for 30 years before he just gave it up, but he was a healthy man besides the bad bad cigs.

I quit 7 years ago and I can tell that it is really hard for the first year and for me it took about 5 years before I stopped thinking about smoking.
I have had 2 angio's and my Doctor has promised me my bypass in the future if I survive a host of other problems. Best of luck and a very good day tomorrow. |

I'm sitting on my computer here in the waiting room, the nurse just came in and said the surgery is complete and that everything went well. Just thought I would give you guys all an update.
