So using that line of thinking the Miami Heat shouldn't be counted as champions because Shaq couldn't hit free throws and Dallas choked.

There is a very good chance Chauncey ops out of his contract and Detroit resigns him for the max and then trades him.

I don't think they are too far, but neither are the Bulls and it could be argued the Bulls are already better with more pieces to the puzzle in place.

they need a competent point guard in the worst way. I don't know if Gibson is that guy or not. He shows potential as a shooter and may be ok as a defender, but not really a true point.
