Maybe instead of dichotomizing everyone on this board into "friends" and "enemies" categories (as you seem to have done), you would enjoy this place more if you just appreciated top-notch analysis when you see it.......regardless of the source.
DrugS flat out NAILED this race. It probably wouldn't kill you to just say that (sans caveats) and move on. It wouldn't mean that you would have to always agree with him.
For example, I like Brian a lot, but that isn't going to stop me from making fun of him mercilessly for waiting seven hours outside a Target to meet Christina Aguilera. Even though I like him, that post deserves to be ridiculed. Other times a poster I might not like as much may post something very insightful, and therefore does not deserve ridicule.
In short, my advice would be............respond to the post, not the poster.

I was 16, and I still (at 24) carry a Hanson keychain.

I'm only telling you these stories because I want you to be able to illustrate the fine point you just made, that the message is different than the person.
