I apologize...let me rephrase my comments...Eric Reed is a complete non-winner and a handicapping throw-out at every track not named Beulah, River Downs, Turfway Park and Ellis. I have never met him and have heard he is a very nice guy, so this is no knock on him as a person. Everyone has to take stands when you are in this game and sometimes it hurts you. For example, I was told that Ronny's horse (Preachin Man) had trained as good as any baby at KEE in the last couple years and the only bets I cashed were DD and PK3 because I can't spend my money on Eric Reed. He came home second and all of my multi-race tickets were out...but I could show you a list of dozens and dozens of times where I am PLUS from that strategy. My list burns me sometimes but I am certainly on the positive side in the long run. |

Round Pen,
You seem to know about Preachin Man as compared to others in the trainer's barn. Do you believe he is stakes quality? I love the way he looks. I would like to see him run agaist the horse you've indicated is better. How much better is he? |

As far as PM I know the brothers (Mckathan that is) have been very high on him for quite awhile I believe if memory serves me right that PM was around a $35k yearling at kee Sept. I have not spoke to anyone today but I would think if PM came out of the race ok they would probably run him back Derby Day. Name of race escapes me but it is a stake for 2 year olds going 5f. That could make an interesting match-up between Sea of Pleasure, who has as big of a repute as any raced 2yo on the West Coast, has ever had in April. And the Wesley Ward 2yo filly that sells tomorrow.
