1.) I don't care who starts threads about what. This was news, and PDrift said that the thread was started to point out that he ran second again and that he runs second often, which was "obvious" to any racing fan. So was the fact that Curlin won the Arkansas Derby. So was the fact that Dominican won the Blue Grass. Therefore, starting a thread about Drift finishing second was no different at all.

2.) Not really sure that was ever the crux of the issue. It was mentioned, that he's a money burner, but never the crux of the issue. But you get your thing on and pretend that it was.

3.) Of course you didn't call anyone anything. The implication was plenty clear. "I find no honor in...." carries plenty of implications. If I say "I find no class in using an acronym as a message board name," that implies there is a lack of class in calling yourself Grits. Lack of class = classless. I find no class in having a first name that has two names in it. You = lack of class. Lack of class = classless. Of course I don't believe either of those, but please spare me the oh so wise, older than me implication that I somehow took some gratuitous semantic leap on that one.

4.) You made up the negativity in the thread. It was all in your head. Oops I may have just broken your new rule.

5.) Funny. All this time I thought it was people trolling around here that was obvious. You win.

Nothing personal, of course. But it appears you're edging off your rocker on this one.
Morning B-Dub. Everyone needs one of these:

After skimming through this thread, I know I do.

Maybe so, but I still need one.

By the way, I love Drifty... root for him any time he runs, but my personal opinion on him is that he's a talented horse who is the epitomy of a herd animal. He gets out in front and he wonders where everyone else is, so he 'hangs.' Nothing wrong with a horse like him who brings home a paycheck, but the truth of the matter is... he's not a gritty, 'fight til the end' kind of horse.

Don't be negative. Honest assessments of the horse's running style and tendency to pick up slices will be considered a smartass undertone and will make you subject to more rules regarding what you can and cannot say about a horse.

I think if horse racing had a lure like greyhound racing that Perfect Drift would go down as the greatest racehorse of all time.

I still don't see where the "bashers" are at in this thread.
He is a very good horse, and it seems like everyone that has posted in this thread agrees on that.

It's useless to even try. It's just like the Bernie fans. You can't even point out anything factual about the horse without it being construed as an egregious attack on the horse and its owner and the entire sport of horse racing.

the bashing of him has been going on for years going back to the espn board. he was bashed and bent over by racing not even being a finalist for the eclipse the year he beat mineshaft and smashed congaree with ease and lost 1 race on the dirt the entire year and that being the BCC when funny cide with julie krone up that day wiped him out on the turn. somehow congaree but managed to be a finalist but anyways he hasnt gotten the respect he deserves for a long time now
