She seemed very tired afterwards but everything else looks good. The next few days will tell alot about where and when we run her back. If she bounces back ok then we will take a long look at the opening day race at CD. If she takes a little longer to recover we may need to find a different spot. Obviously we were hoping for a little more but we weren't undefeated going in and we did have a good time meeting all the partners which was really what this is about.
Thanks Chuck for all your work.

Just watched the race replays. She is a big lady. Poor girl got tired, those were some fairly tough early fractions. I did not get to see her enter the gate but her start was not bad even though the 8 horse blew by her. I was scared she would come out harder than that. Speed does not seem to be a problem so thats good.

Wavered a bit on the backstretch also, and poor thing has got to be very tired after that stretch. Glad she cooled out well and it was very exciting reading the excitement of everyone else.

Well get um next time by God.

Easy for me to say. I did not run over a mile today. Hope she is not to sore tomorrow. (I think she may have run the furthest distance wise in that race also).

Trakus stats confirmed that, she did run the furthest.

I seriously wish the horse and you guys the best, but might a 50k claimer still be too ambitious? Prove me wrong, but if you guys run her in a 50 k claimer race, and she finishes up the track, take DisappearingdanAKAPlaya's advice, and drop her big...

But as I said, I wish y'all and your horse the best...

They want to run her in a spot where she doesn't get claimed... running her in a 15k claimer most likely would allow that to happen. This filly is sound as a dollar... it would be a shame to have a sound filly like her get claimed. Her next start will be better. She probably needed the race.

He said "no" and I told him that it was Dermonti Dawson (for those that don't follow football, he was an all-pro center for the Steelers for most of his career).

On Wednesday at Keeneland, I am standing in front of the gift shop, wearing my Steelers jacket, waiting to hook up with the other DT'ers. This large man walks by, notices my Steeler attire and says "hi". I looked at him and said "Dermonti Dawson ???" to which he replied "yes I am." He was with his business partner and said that they just came over to catch a few races. He stayed and talked for a few minutes and was as nice as could be!!! It was just too weird.

That's cool
I've been a Steelers fan since I was ten, great to know that my fellow partner is a fan of the "Black & Gold".
Too bad Dee Tee silks weren't that color!

Black and White with Diamonds- FCC. Now that's a true owner. He looks at every horse before he buys. Look at other owners they sit at home and call their trainer claim this horse.

That is a great story Steve, not only having a horse run at Keeneland, but
to meet an oustanding Steelers football player of the 90's must of topped
off a great day.
