the fact that Pop Rock ran so well over 2m in the melbourne cup puts me off him. Others surely have more speed than him.. Im concerned that Youmzain will get done for pace so might have a saver on Laverock or Vengence..

Makybe Diva, 3-time winner of the Melbourne Cup (2 miles) also won a G2 at 7f. Forego won at 7f and 2 miles. Pop Rock just missed at 11f last out. I wouldn't worry about him not having 'enough lick.'
