That just b/c they don't work often, its a convenient excuse and they'll keep trying them. They do work occasionally. But when a horse is gassed like a person, they are going to be gulping air. She bounced or maybe even tied up. It doesn't mean she needs the surgery....Look, my only point is when trainers are looking for some kind of reason for a performance this is an easy out if nothing physically was amiss. That was all.

Boy I hope so though its considered a minor surgery with less than 2 weeks missed in training time....But I'm not in favor of unneeded surgery so maybe it will make a difference for her.
