OK, I understand. One last question, does that mean whatever the odds are at the time you place your Win bet, that is how it would pay if that horse wins on KD day?

as a side note; It is my opinion that unless you are picking a horse 50-1 or better you are much better off waiting until derby day to bet. at least that way if the horse scratches you get your money back. in the future pool, if the horse doesn't run you are screwed

I disagree. But we went through this in a thread about Pool 1, so no need to rehash it here.
