There's something things you don't seem to get about how this process works. The most glaring is that horses don't all develop on a set timetable. They aren't trains in Mussolini's Italy. Of course others "have doine more than him" or whoever. It's hardly a revelation that precocious two year olds "have done more" than ones that were held back as they grew physically or matured mentally.

The idea is to project talent and potential as the division players approach the spring. Any number of horses you mention as "better" than Chelokee AREN'T GOING TO GET ANY BETTER THAN THEY ARE NOW whereas the Chelokees, Deadly Dealers and For You Reppos, et al, are forward moving. Three year olds, especially lightly-raced three year olds, can progress rapidly at this time of year. You may be comparing a three year old born in January or February to one that was an April or May foal who is only approaching a degree of their potential prowess now. And as for the fillies, they are always ahead of the colts early.

I like both Chelokee and For You Reppo a lot. I felt the latter could have had a better trip in his last race.. Kent D. appeared to make a premature middle move that forced the horse into a sustained drive for much of the race.

For you Reppo is one I've really watching now.
Love how he won from the 10 hole going 1-1/16 at GP, which according to sources, is the first horse to do so since Barbaro.
Should see him in a stakes race next, and seemingly a pretty nice price.

Don't overlook the Sightseeing , McGaughey horse as well who had the 10 post and was a short horse in his previous 1 mile race along with Chelokee. I think these races may well turn out to be key races in retrospect.

And PG1985, you might want to listen more and type less as some others have suggested. Ah youth ! As someone once said, " g-d gave us two ears and one mouth, and they should be used proprotionately ! "
