After hearing Gary Contessa on ATRAB and reading the article in the bloodhorse about him I think I would trust him with my newly acquired colt. He is competent, approachable and seems down to earth.

If the horse was a NY bred with modest bloodlines, I might consider Scott Everett...
If I acquired a well bred horse for the weeds, I'd lean towards Christophe Clement...
Niall O'Callaghan would be on my list also...spent a little time with him at Payson Park

If you gave quality horse that Pletcher, Frankel and other big name
trainers get and give them to T. Dutrow and Ritchey they both will
hold their own against these big time trainers

I often wonder how many people would be selecting, considering, etc. names like Tagg (pre-Funny Cide), Matz (pre-Barbaro), Albertrani (pre-Bernardini), Servis (pre-Smarty Jones), and so on.

I am certain some would.

Eric

I would take Matz. Like him for his hunter/jumper background.

Me too, but that's pretty biased of me. I'll stick with Chuck.
