This is a great experience for one's ego. You will have none left, they keep it at the office. Good luck, Im sure you will be fine.

This also leads me to a completely new line of thought. After taking this sort of probing, I really dont understand how anyone could actually enjoy having anything stuck up that particular orifice... its completely beyond me, but to each his/her own.
No way, they are knocking me out for this thing. I'm not watching anything!!....Started taking the crap at 5pm, I've been pretty bathroom bound since 7 or 8 but ducked out to meet with my supporters.

At least you get like 2-3 days of watching old school races on the net that you can download

Default Still Here

Details pending, if you don't want to read it, then don't

-Well, last night was rough. You have to go to the bathroom and its explosive but its mainly water. Still not fun. Figure on some baby wipes so your butt doesn't become like a baseball mitt.

-I got some sleep, I would say you should stay up to get all the magnesium citrate you drink out before you go to bed. You'll still wake up and go a few times more, but you won't need to hang out in the bathroom that way.

Got there today. Nice nurses, easy with the IV, very friendly. They wheel you into this room and the anesthesia(sp?) guy asks a few questions then you lay on your side. Then like that, he gives you the juice and you're out. Don't remember anything, woke up feeling fine in another room. Gave me some apple juice even though I requested a gin and tonic.

Everything looked good, as good as a colon can look I'm sure....Now I can eat. Again, those of you over 40 or 50 who haven't had one should get one. No big deal.

Glad to hear it went well,Randall! It should be noted that in addition to manual tests from doctors, it is wise to ask for a PSA test when doing bloodwork. This test can be valuable as a tool for discovering any abnormalities EARLY. Cheers

Good luck with colonoscopy. Being a doctor, the procedure is usually straight-forward and usually no complications. Usually the docs will give you a sedative and pain control with demerol. Takes about 30-40 minutes. Shouldn't have any problems. Great that you are getting this done for you and your family!!!!

Had one last year. The worst part was that Fleet Phospho Soda that you have to take. There should be a warning label don't take if you want to be productive. The irony of this thread is that after reading it i looked to see if i still had the pictures and i do.

It is the colon probing that binds us.

I feel as if we are all one, with our internal plumbing, and as a board. Truely a spritual event that I shall cherish.

Can anyone tell me what the reasoning of getting one of these is? I mean, I am 28, should I be going to my doctor and telling him I need to have one or does something have to be wrong to have one?

No, dude I had an Irritable Bowel issue which has come and gone and was brought on by stress a few months ago. My stomach never really settled down. Its one of the reasons I take it easy when I drink b/c I really pay for it. You shouldn't get one unless you are having problems till you are in your 40's or have a family history of issues. Hope this helps Scavs
