i don't know why proud tower blew the turn but it probly cost him the race. not necessarily because of lost ground but because proud tower is a fierce fighter when he has a horse next to him. when he gets his nose in front, he's very difficult to pass. nevertheless, it was a big effort by both horses. i'm guessing a speed figure between 110-115.
