No,he doesn't wan't to lose, but often he doesn't expect to win.Tiger expects to win them all,and (if you notice) even when he is way behind,he never says he doesn't have a shot.See,I believe Phil and Tiger have about the same talent, but one is a hell of a lot more game than the other.Look,it is hard to take Phil seriously(as a true competitor) when he plays about 7 months a year(off n' on,) and Tiger plays about 10 1/2 months a year(off n' on.) You tell me who is doing more with their talent. It isn't a matter of talent.Phil has a ton of talent, and could easily come top 2 in the Masters again this year.If Phil was a great baseball player,he would only join the club in mid-June.

Phil is a flawed human being...as are we all...but that was a nice story of his random act of kindness to the tune of 100,000 for college tuition for Conrad Doblers' daughter on ESPN golf. I'm going to lay off him for a while. His charitable stuff is far outweighing his gambling, and smarmy character, and the rest. He also has the program for Vets and their families which gains contributions from Phils' birdies and eagles! He's doing more for society than I am...and I could use a little more Grace from above!
