Miraja2 was able to maintain his lead after a three contest race Saturday, with AngelSita and Paisjpq still holding steady in the place and show positions. A very strong showing by first-timer Robfla... and for all of those who had Buffymommy's 7 year old nephew pick better than you - just remember, we're getting him hooked on the horses early so all of you can take his money at the windows later when he's a bit older and addicted to this! (J/K Buffy!)

I'm just glad the kid missed the first 4 weeks of the contest because otherwise he would probably beat me in the overall standings. Hey, he might anyway.
Scat Daddy and a maiden? What was I thinking?

Note to self: Do not let husband pick my horses anymore. I went two for three this time, and my choice in the race I let him pick was the winner. Just because he can say "Eeenvasor... heeeee's da behhhhhst" should not count for anything...

Though, quite frankly, this was probably luck for me. Nobiz is my current fave for the Derby (subject to change, I'm sure) and I like Ravel for no reason I can explain. Either way, BuffyM is still kicking my ass.

Hey! I only beat my nephew by a couple of bucks. I may just let him start picking my horses for me.

Hee hee. His mom isn't going to let me babysit anymore if I get him hooked on this!

Any horse that is by FuPeg & out of a G2 winning mare by AP Indy, AND has already won on dirt & poly, AND has already proven that he can handle both graded stakes competion & going 9 furlongs........is a horse worth liking.

And he has a cool name. Seriously, though, I just haven't had time to follow the 3-year-olds as closely as I'd like, so I don't feel very solid yet on who they are. Thanks for reminding me!

He is (RAVEL) the first serious contender on the T.C. trail, Nobiz Like Shobiz is logical and still is green.
RAVEL is bred to get the distance and the early price should be slightly better (even though Pletcher) in the first Derby future pool.
