Lava Man - A Concern?

For some unknown reason, deep in my heart, I'd love to see El Don run well today. Maybe not win, but just do well.

And Lava Man kicks butt with the utmost of ease today.

He did exactly what he should have done. I think he's pretty much unbeatable in CA. Hopefully he'll get to try the turf on tracks outside of CA. I agree with Manila Rose that LM is probably better on turf.

So he doesn't win outside Cali...this is a very good horse that runs the best on the left coast, dirt or turf. If not for Invasor's remarkable year, he would have won the Eclipse. Best of all, we don't have to worry about premature retirement.
